Here are a few tips for planting a live Christmas tree:

  • Don’t dig the hole for planting at the last moment rather do it well in advance as digging the frozen dirt can prove to be quite tiresome.
  • Please remember that to keep the plant living you will need to water the plant. Always keep the root damp.
  • When you place the Christmas tree inside, you will have to protect the tree from extreme temperature changes. Keep the tree in the coolest place in the house.
  • When the tree is planted the top of the root should be at ground level.
  • When you buy the plant and the root is wrapped with a covering please remove it before planting.
  • After the tree is planted water it.
  • If you are decorating the Christmas tree with outdoor Christmas tree lights than select small bulbs as they will not heat up the plant.
